Four Tigers were invited to the Combine and three of them participated in drills. As we all know, Danario Alexander's journey to the NFL hit another bump when he needed yet another surgery on his knee. That knee's been open more than Jenna Jamison's mouth (/Gene Claude). Alas, I provide for you now one-stop shopping on the Combine results courtesy of the NFL itself.
The NFL's scoop on Danario:
Alexander is a huge WR
It's that time of year when the
NFL makes public those who have been invited to prance and pose their way around a bunch of middle-aged men with beer bellies and too-tight nylon shorts. Surprisingly, invitees almost never say no.
In its infinite wisdom, the NFL got its hands on the MU depth chart and decided to invite nearly all the senior starters. Tigers who will be at the combine:
The first game of the '09 season served to put the rest of the nation on notice that Mizzou isn't bothering with a rebuilding year. As AT has attested over and over, this Missouri team is good and should challenge for the Big 12 North. About that now, there can be no doubt.
37-9 against a BCS opponent. Pretty good evidence that the Tigers have reloaded. Blaine Gabbert's 319 yards, 3 TDs, 1 rushing TD, 0 picks.
Stryker Sulak is on the same Colin Brown bubble with respect to making the NFL team that drafted him. I like his chances less than Brown's if only because the Raiders are dumb and keeping the man who lead all of college football in forced fumbles would be smart.
It's become a chant almost to say Stryker is a 'tweener. I bet he's tired of hearing that word. They say he's not big enough to play
Well, this was a pleasant surprise. Not much had been written about Colin before the draft and while I assumed he'd get an NFL shot, I thought it'd be the free agent route. Colin was surprised when his phone rang during the fifth round. The Chiefs, my adopted hometown team but not a team I root for, made Colin their fourth pick in the draft and their only drafted offensive lineman. This on a team that needs
