Official NFL Combine Invite List

Posted by Phenomenal Smith on February 3rd, 2010 under Football

It seems that the new official list (the banner reads 2009, but it’s clearly this year’s guys) is out and there are some Big 12 additions. Last month I wrote of the first official list and our OBK friend Triston pointed out that additions were still to come. Sure enough, though no Tigers were added so it’s hardly very interesting. The new list with additions in italics:

Baylor (2): WR David Gettis, C J.D. Walton.
Colorado (1): TE Riar Geer
Kansas (3): WR Dezmon Briscoe, WR Kerry Meier, S Darrell Stuckey.
Kansas State (3): DL Joshua Moore, WR Brandon Banks, TE Jeron Mastrud.
Missouri (4): WR Danario Alexander, G Kurtis Gregory, WR Jared Perry, OLB Sean Weatherspoon.
Nebraska (4): S Larry Asante, LB Phillip Dillard, C Jake Hickman, DT Ndamukong Suh.
Oklahoma (9!): RB Chris Brown, TE Brody Eldridge, TE Jermaine Gresham, CB Brian Jackson, OT Trent Williams, QB Sam Bradford, Keenan Clayton, DL Dominque Franks, DL Gerald McCoy.
Oklahoma State (6): CB Perrish Cox, OT Russell Okung, QB Zac Robinson, RB Keith Toston, Lucien Antoine, WR Dez Bryant
Texas
(7): DT Lamarr Houston, DE Sergio Kindle, QB Colt McCoy, LB Roddrick Muckelroy, WR Jordan Shipley, OT Adam Ulatoski, DB Earl Thomas
Texas Tech (2): G Brandon Carter, CB Jamar Wall.

The updated South v. North comparison is 26 v. 15.

Over the last two year combine invitees from the Big 12 break down thusly:

OU – 17
UT – 12
MU – 10
NU – 10
OSU – 8
TT – 7
KSU – 5
A&M – 4
KU – 2
BU – 2
CU – 1
ISU – 0

I suspect BU should be at three. Surely Jason Smith was at the combine last year, but I’ve got no record of that. Anyway, a rough idea of the tabs the NFL is keeping on the Big 12.

Thoughts?

  1. I haven’t received my invite or credentials, but I’m assuming everyting is in the mail.

re Baylor: Smith and Dan Gay both went last year.

  2. Thanks Triston. My 2009 Baylor data is all a mess.

Once you get the invite, let me know. I’ll add you to the list.

  3. Speaking of David Gettis, and I know you were, he’s Jared Perry’s teammate in the Texas v. Nation game. Gettis won the coin toss and is wearing #4, so JP is donning his old number 8.

Also, and I should probably post about this and might still, JP has had two good days of practice down in El Paso in front of the scouts.
