This article discusses a study showing that college ball referees tend to favor the home team and attempt to evenly distribute fouls.
Conclusion? It pays to be aggressive as the fouls are likely to end up even anyway. Just another reason to like Anderson’s defense.

Been saying this for years…just watch a Southern Illinois game and tell me that it was officiated evenly. 1) Your reputation will precede you and 2) Officials inherently try to even things out.
It defies all logic, but it’s undeniable.
