There are a few things that are clear from this week’s power rankings:
Texas is the best team in the Big 12 … no surprise … Texas will roll this weekend.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are second tier, but much better than the rest.
As my friend Gene Claude might say … Kansas is the tallest midget in the North … we’ll find out this weekend whether the Jayhawks are taller than the four best team in the South.
Baylor is horrible without RGIII.
That’s about it. The rest of the teams are interchangeably substandard.
Questions for the upcoming weekend:
How many turnovers by the Huskers?
Will Coach Hawkins allow Tyler Hansen to play the entire game?
What quarter will Gabbert tweak his ankle again?
How many TDs will Doege throw in the “system”?
Who will catch more passes … Briscoe or Meier?
Will Kansas State win by 50 or lose by 50?
Which game is more boring NU @ BU or ISU @ aTm?
How many hours will our friends at Barking Carnival spend at Eskimo Joe’s?

These rankings actually make as much sense as they possibly could make.
Poor Baylor.
