according to bracketology guru Joe Lunardi…
But simply being tournament bound isn’t the most exciting part. We are an 11th seed and get to play 6th seed Kansas in the first round!!!
Seriously, this is ESPN.com, this is Joe Lunardi, the self described inventor of bracketology. Perhaps I set my standards too high but the editorial review of things that end up on sites like ESPN.com or CFN (as pointed out by Phenom a few weeks ago) is lacking.
The good news is that Mizzou is projected to be in the field!

I trust this will lead to your next invention – the NCAA Tournament Predictatron – wherein the user will be able to project the lines for the rest of the college basketball season and generate a projected bracket. I can’t wait.

That’s really funny because teams from the same conference can’t play each other until the Sweet 16.

Lunardi is a joke, by the way. Two years ago he changed his bracket on Sunday morning to include Arkansas. This was well after the SEC semis had ended (the Razorbacks made the SEC Champ game)and he had been updating all night. Arkansas had not previously been listed in the ‘last 4 out’ section of his bracketology. So basically, he got tipped off, put Arkansas in so he would look better, and didn’t acknowledge it. Even after numerous emails from seekers of truth and justice in the bracket projection field.
