Chase’s quest to completely expunge our one-time hero, Phil Johnson, from the record books has been well documented on these pages. Phenom’s fascination with this elusive record inspired me to put my team of offshore programmers to work. In the latest incarnation of our proprietary best-in-class interactive multi-media predicting software tool, we have taken on Chase Daniel’s white whale. Perhaps the only people interested in this are Chase and Phil, but in case you aren’t one of those guys and you are still curious here it is.
Usual rules apply, gray cells can be edited and hit F9 when you are done to have it recalculate. Enjoy.

This is cool.
For the ISU game, I gave Chase his K-State numbers. For the KU game, I have Chase his KU numbers from a year ago. For the Ship and the Bowl, I gave Chase his stats from the Ship and the Bowl from last year. He ended up with a 158.1 rating, just staying in front of Phil. The chances of Phil holding on to this record are slim.

I’m now rooting against Chase. I’m pretty sure this is the thread keeping Phil from the abyss.

The real question is which one can eat more McRibs? I’d like to see a PredictaRib.

I have a buddy here in Charlotte that went to school with Quin Snyder. Apparently his nickname in high school was the white whale. Bringing this up just made me puke a little in my mouth but nevertheless I felt like you guys should know what the white whale really means. Carry on, gents.

Sorry, the infomation had burned a hole through my cranium and accidentally spilled onto my keyboard despite my attempt to stop it. I am just happy to not be held captive by it any longer.

Jon, that’s okay. I forgive you. Especially since the Tigers just won the B12 North again.

I have a buddy that was good friends with a Duke grad, and I have heard the white whale nickname before. At least Q has that going for him.

My predictions for this game were remarkably accurate. The Predictawhale has been updated for actuals, it’s not looking good for Phil.

Phil will be okay. He still has the Big 8 record for completion percentage in a season, better than all the great Big 8 passers down through the ages like Jamelle Holloway, Darian Hagan, J.C. Watts, Chip Hilleary, et al. Since the books are closed on the Big 8, he’ll have that one for eternity, for all of his grandkids and great-grandkids to see.
Go ahead and root for Chase. We’ll need about a 220 from him to win the B12 championship game.

Speaking of Chip Hilleary, it’s pretty embarrassing that someone would pay $310 for this:
